Bedroom Reveal In Sweet Caroline

The first nook of Caroline is complete, The Bedroom! I am beaming with excitement to see her come to her full potential! I've loved the transformation of all of the campers that I've done, but for some reason this cutie as a special spot in my heart!

Remember this is how she arrived. She has some bones to her but not much. The previous owner started working on the inside with a tad bit of framing. Then she came into our life from Facebook Marketplace for my birthday, we paid $1000, and we got to continue the journey!

If you missed it, I did the exterior of this camper first! You'll want to make sure you didn't miss what the outside currently looks like!

 Check it out right here!

So this is what it looked like when we brought it home.  It had no plumbing and we debated putting it in but ultimately decided against it.  We decided this camper is going to live at our soon to be rental property as a glorified tent.  It can sleep two more people and be a sweet little escape.  Like I said, the prior owner did a little bit of framing but I pretty much had a blank slate.  Fun and overwhelming all at once.

And so, the fun began and I got my hands on her a little bit! Ryan and I planked every inch.

Check out this blog post to view of we shiplap and all our techniques!

I'm not going to give away her full look after paint quite yet but here is a little peek!

I went with the color "Storms Coming" By Pittsburg in Satin. It turned out to be very similar to Revere Pewter which I was hoping it would be a little warmer brown but I do love the color it ended up being.

Plus, now the windows pop, you just wait and see!!

Read in the exterior blog exactly the process of how I painted the windows. Also, lets just talk about how challenging those curves were, but they did turn out quite stunning!

We went with this Vinyl Planking for the flooring. Peel and stick are so much easier, but I haven't had the best luck with peel and stick in campers with the temperature changes. I wanted to do a chevron pattern, all that to simply say the cuts were a little tricky getting them just right! But Ryan and I conquered it together which made it go faster. We used an angle grinder to make the cuts, and the circular saw which cuts them super easily.

Arches, fluting and shiplap, Oh my!!

It took me a while to get started on her because it was a total blank space. Once we decided against plumbing and turn her into a glorified sleeping area my vision came to life! I pushed myself to make it a little less camper and more like a designer hotel by adding aches, fluted wood details, beams and more! Oh and of course spray paint and rub n buff, my bff's!

Campers are so fun because you can do so many different things on a smaller scale then doing them in a house.

I had the vision like I said above to make the details a little more elevated! Such as this look!

I used pole wrap to create the look! You can find that at Home Depot. I wanted a washed look as the finish so I used a special technique to color it, Half paint/ Half water. Color choice, Revere Pewter to make it a little warmer. I take a paint brush and paint it on. Then I wipe it off to look more washed. It goes on thicker but that's where the wipe down comes in key. After the half paint half water mix I use a stain to warm it up.  The paint/water tones down the orange tones in the wood and makes it look more expensive than cheap pine.  I used dark walnut stain over the top to bring in some darker tones.

Can we take a moment to talk about this Wall Mount Padded Headboard by Nathan James. This showed up in the mail just in time for the reveal and I was giddy! Its even more stunning in person! I wanted this corner to seem like as much as a bedroom as possible and this headboard is helping achieve that so very much! The leather and sherpa details, awww!!!

How gorgeous is this DECO TV frame?! I may want one for our living room now as I am in love with the look it creates. I ended up going with the antique gold and black frame and love the vintage detail it adds so much.

And how stinking cute is that "Chateau" Sign?! It is original to the camper so it needed a permanent spot in here. It goes with the design of it too so how perfect...

Also if you have a Samsung Frame TV, Etsy has countless different Digital wall arts to put for your lock screen for the TV. They are amazing and very price point friendly! This is the pack I got for this TV.
