The Cabin Master Bedroom

I can't believe I've never done a blog post on this bedroom! I've defiantly shared it many times on my Instagram stories but never in a blog post. So here we go!

I get many questions on this Bed frame. It is a Pottery Barn wooden bed frame that I was gifted from my nanny family years and years ago! So sweet of them!  I still love it so much but don't think they carry it any longer sadly.

This vintage area rug is so pretty! I love the soft coloring it adds in here. I got the 5'3" X 7'6" for sizing reference.

Gold Sconces. To add a pop of gold and go with the warmth tone going on I go these off of Amazon years ago and have held up great!

There isn't a lot of room in this room as you can see so a small nightstand was non negotiable. I got these ones in wood years ago and a while later decide to add some contrast so painted them black! I see them come in black as well online.

This fan makes a huge difference on the warm summer nights to help circular the air as we have a smaller AC unit here at the cabin.

Crunchy bedding is a no no when crawling into bed after a day in the sun LOL. Of course, our favorite Brooklinen is what we have here on the bed and LOVE it. If you have never tried Brooklinen trust me, it is well worth the investment with how much time a person spends in their bed during their lifetime!

The Oaks final outdoor reveal

I pulled off the biggest surprise I've ever done... I can't believe it!! So a little back story - 17 years ago Ryan sold his prized possession, his 1991 Mazda Miata, to help fund a much needed mini van for our baby on the way. After I got pregnant I quit my job and we went from 2 incomes down to 1 income. We knew that a 2 person convertible just wasn't practical and that the finances could be used in a better way. So we sold it... Fast forward 17 years and it all comes back full circle. I put my 17 year old son Tate on the task of finding us a Miata that looked just like dads, and he blew it out of the water. He found the perfect car on Facebook Marketplace In great condition! He drove almost 3 hours to pick it up with a buddy and pulled off the best surprise ever!!! Also to note Tate has never driven through the Twin Cities or Driven a stick shift on any road besides a gravel one close to the cabin. BUT he was confident and crushed the challenge!! We stored it for the night and gave it to him the next day! I think Ryan's reaction says it all (watch the mini vlog below!) Our "19th" anniversary isn't until November but what fun is a convertible if you can't drive it in the summer, so we gave it to him early and are so happy we did! *make sure to read until the end for a good laugh ;)
