KIDS BEDROOM IDEAS, BOYS & GIRLS!

I love putting together mood boards. It’s kind of like creating a bedroom without spending a dime:) But, it’s also fun to share some vision with you all if you aren’t sure where to start since it can be overwhelming. You can click here to find all of the links, but let’s look at them a little closer…

These bunk bedsare an amazing deal and give such a great feel for a boys room! It’s perfect for saving space or even to just to have an extra bed for friends!

If you don’t have little boys anymore, this is a great option for your older boy for the same feel!

Or I love the uniqueness of this bed!  It’s masculine enough but could also work to double as a guest bedroom if you are like me and have to have family or friends take over your kids rooms some days:)

And if budget is your goal, this bed is perfect!  It doesn’t sacrifice style for price. It’s such a great deal and such a classic look!

Also, it seems like schooling from home is a theme this year, so to have a desk thats affordable but also creates a quiet spot for you child to learn is important!

And if your kiddos are still little, then a fun spot for them to craft and create is such a fun addition to their bedrooms! I love this little neutral table and chair set that could work with any color scheme!

NOW ONTO A GIRLS ROOM MOOD BOARD

This is the mood board I put together for a girls room. You can easily change out the pink for a different color, but this gives you an idea of fun elements to pull a room together! Find all of the links in this picture HERE

I loved this bed because it gives the feel of a built in. I also love it for transitioning a toddler into a big girl bed since the bed in low on the ground, and you could turn that a fort or desk area once they grow up!

I also thought t his was such a cute bookshelf to store books and toys for your little one:)

And who doesn’t love a little glam in their kids room to elevate the style! I love this fun globe floor lamp !

Don’t forget to find the rest of everything pictured in this slide HERE

I hope this helps to inspire you! Good design doesn’t need to cost a fortune!

The Oaks final outdoor reveal
By Allie Lundeen August 14, 2025
I pulled off the biggest surprise I've ever done... I can't believe it!! So a little back story - 17 years ago Ryan sold his prized possession, his 1991 Mazda Miata, to help fund a much needed mini van for our baby on the way. After I got pregnant I quit my job and we went from 2 incomes down to 1 income. We knew that a 2 person convertible just wasn't practical and that the finances could be used in a better way. So we sold it... Fast forward 17 years and it all comes back full circle. I put my 17 year old son Tate on the task of finding us a Miata that looked just like dads, and he blew it out of the water. He found the perfect car on Facebook Marketplace In great condition! He drove almost 3 hours to pick it up with a buddy and pulled off the best surprise ever!!! Also to note Tate has never driven through the Twin Cities or Driven a stick shift on any road besides a gravel one close to the cabin. BUT he was confident and crushed the challenge!! We stored it for the night and gave it to him the next day! I think Ryan's reaction says it all (watch the mini vlog below!) Our "19th" anniversary isn't until November but what fun is a convertible if you can't drive it in the summer, so we gave it to him early and are so happy we did! *make sure to read until the end for a good laugh ;)
