Walmart Home Finds

This post is sponsored by Walmart but all opinions are my own.

Well it’s no secret that I love shopping at Walmart.  It’s not only where we get most of our families food, but where I also find some amazing products for my home as well! Win win! And within the last couple months they actually introduced a new home line in collaboration with Drew Barrymore.  It’s the Drew Barrymore Flower Line.

What I love about this line is that it has it all, from décor to lighting to bedding.  And it all coordinates so well.  I put together my favorite pieces from the line and ones that I think work so well together.  And I tried to include a little bit of everything.  I mean, how fun would this tic tac toe game table be at the cabin?  Or this rug in an entry?  And I’m still thinking I may purchase two of these awesome rattan pendants for over my dining table!  I’ve been looking for something similar to this without breaking the bank, and these are just that!

I actually snagged this super cute set of three baskets for myself!

They are so super functional and I actually have mine in my living room hiding toys inside.  The amount of texture these bring into the room is amazing.

And the price for 3 baskets and the quality of them, is amazing too!  I’m thinking I’m only going to use 2, and then I have one to gift.  How cute would this be as a baby shower gift with a fun blanket or outfit inside?  Two for me, one for you:)  But lets be real, the trio is pretty amazing as well!

Well done Walmart, well done:)

The Oaks final outdoor reveal
By Allie Lundeen August 14, 2025
I pulled off the biggest surprise I've ever done... I can't believe it!! So a little back story - 17 years ago Ryan sold his prized possession, his 1991 Mazda Miata, to help fund a much needed mini van for our baby on the way. After I got pregnant I quit my job and we went from 2 incomes down to 1 income. We knew that a 2 person convertible just wasn't practical and that the finances could be used in a better way. So we sold it... Fast forward 17 years and it all comes back full circle. I put my 17 year old son Tate on the task of finding us a Miata that looked just like dads, and he blew it out of the water. He found the perfect car on Facebook Marketplace In great condition! He drove almost 3 hours to pick it up with a buddy and pulled off the best surprise ever!!! Also to note Tate has never driven through the Twin Cities or Driven a stick shift on any road besides a gravel one close to the cabin. BUT he was confident and crushed the challenge!! We stored it for the night and gave it to him the next day! I think Ryan's reaction says it all (watch the mini vlog below!) Our "19th" anniversary isn't until November but what fun is a convertible if you can't drive it in the summer, so we gave it to him early and are so happy we did! *make sure to read until the end for a good laugh ;)
