This space has gotten updated with a couple different things throughout the past few months  with stuff that hasn't been photographed!

We spend so much time in this space during the nice months that each year I give her a refresh to keep it in the best condition.   It is so shaded with these 2 big trees, that you can enjoy sitting without being in direct sunlight. It has one of the best views on our property too overlooking the view.

Make sure to stay until the end of the blog for a surprise visitor 😉

The barrel sofa and chairs are no longer available or sold at World Market where I got them years ago. I still love the look and design of them so much so I'm hanging onto them, but I did get 2 new end chairs for this sitting area and up on the deck.

They are the Better Homes and Gardens ones. They have two different styles, a rounded back and a square back!

They are so comfortable, have a swivel bottom which makes any chair more fun, plus the look of them is a visual score!

. Can you believe all these potted flowers are fake?  The amazing thing about faux is that they last, but look very real. With living in a climate that is hard for all sorts of flowers and plants!

I've done my fair share of weeding through my faux finds. These ones (all linked below) are fantastic and I would definitely recommend!

I can't get over this $10 Planter. Yes $10!! Walmart does it again with this one!

This patio table and chairs I got years ago at a garage sale! Total score I know!! I linked a similar one below that looks very similar.

I have been loving and been very impressed with this Black Solar Lamp! I think it adds such a cute touch to have a lamp outside but it being solar powered is game changer and so easy for ambiance!

I get asked about this Lundeen Sign often, I made it years ago!! It's a one of a kind ;)

My mom came to visit from WI for a couple of days, she is always down for a project with me! We got fresh bags of mulch and laid it one afternoon. We do this about every year to freshen up the space. Even if it just around the main area, it adds such a fresh feeling and look!  And these little stepping stones we made with Tate and Kynlee when they were just 2 & 3 have my heart and I love seeing them front and center.  I reminds me how quickly the seasons go.

Thankful for the quiet little slice of heaven in earth we get to enjoy here on our property!!

And also as promised, the surprise visitors... Tika and Kimber wanted to be in on some of the photos LOL. Oh they are just something else!!

The Oaks final outdoor reveal

I pulled off the biggest surprise I've ever done... I can't believe it!! So a little back story - 17 years ago Ryan sold his prized possession, his 1991 Mazda Miata, to help fund a much needed mini van for our baby on the way. After I got pregnant I quit my job and we went from 2 incomes down to 1 income. We knew that a 2 person convertible just wasn't practical and that the finances could be used in a better way. So we sold it... Fast forward 17 years and it all comes back full circle. I put my 17 year old son Tate on the task of finding us a Miata that looked just like dads, and he blew it out of the water. He found the perfect car on Facebook Marketplace In great condition! He drove almost 3 hours to pick it up with a buddy and pulled off the best surprise ever!!! Also to note Tate has never driven through the Twin Cities or Driven a stick shift on any road besides a gravel one close to the cabin. BUT he was confident and crushed the challenge!! We stored it for the night and gave it to him the next day! I think Ryan's reaction says it all (watch the mini vlog below!) Our "19th" anniversary isn't until November but what fun is a convertible if you can't drive it in the summer, so we gave it to him early and are so happy we did! *make sure to read until the end for a good laugh ;)
