Roadtrip Vehicle Must Haves

We are taking a couple weeks road Trip down to Florida as a family! Yay for some sunshine and warmth! We are of so excited and thankful we are able to do this all together...

That being said 6 people in a Suburban for over 20 hours can get long and tiring lol. I have found a few gadgets that has made road trips a tad more organized and easier to locate things when they have a spot or a place for many different things.

Take a read below to find the best Road trip lifesavers I've found!

I'll start out with the fan favorite from last year! This was insanely helpful and useful for all ages.

What was the big wow seller on this was the folding out tray to but iPads on or even to hold food on the road. It stays up sturdy enough to hold those things. We were all very impressed.

Okay who else dislikes when you're on a road trip and all the garage/wrappers that accumulate?! ME!! I don't like that. So, garage is a huge must. So slick because you put your trash in a contained spot and so easy to take out and empty when you are at a gas station.

How genius are these!? They go on the back of your head rest. Perfect for jackets, sweatshirts, backpacks, headphones, you name it anything can be hung up to keep the floor space open and clean!

Portable Chargers and USB outlets, a must! We all know that to get through a road trip there are quite a bit of screen time happening. We often run into the problem of the battery getting low. These have been game changer and help for recharging electronics while still in transit.

Nothing worse than sitting on your sunglasses or them getting scratched. These glasses holders are so handy to prevent that from happening plus keeps the center console open!

We all know about that terrible crack in-between the seat and your seatbelt. The amount of stuff I've lost down there is not good LOL. I thought these were so cool, they fit perfectly right into that crack. No more losing things!

This is a new item I got for the trip! It looks like it's a diaper bin, but we are going to use it for wipes, snacks, books, headphones etc. to keep close to the front but still able to access for everyone! Great organizational tip!

Happy Traveling!

The Oaks final outdoor reveal

I pulled off the biggest surprise I've ever done... I can't believe it!! So a little back story - 17 years ago Ryan sold his prized possession, his 1991 Mazda Miata, to help fund a much needed mini van for our baby on the way. After I got pregnant I quit my job and we went from 2 incomes down to 1 income. We knew that a 2 person convertible just wasn't practical and that the finances could be used in a better way. So we sold it... Fast forward 17 years and it all comes back full circle. I put my 17 year old son Tate on the task of finding us a Miata that looked just like dads, and he blew it out of the water. He found the perfect car on Facebook Marketplace In great condition! He drove almost 3 hours to pick it up with a buddy and pulled off the best surprise ever!!! Also to note Tate has never driven through the Twin Cities or Driven a stick shift on any road besides a gravel one close to the cabin. BUT he was confident and crushed the challenge!! We stored it for the night and gave it to him the next day! I think Ryan's reaction says it all (watch the mini vlog below!) Our "19th" anniversary isn't until November but what fun is a convertible if you can't drive it in the summer, so we gave it to him early and are so happy we did! *make sure to read until the end for a good laugh ;)
