Father's Day Gift Guide

Father's Day is right around the corner, and we all know how tricky men can be to buy for! Here are some of Ryan's favorite things that he uses daily and swears by!

Starting out strong with Ryan's most beloved item, The Work Tunes. He wears these every single day as they have the noise cancelling feature for all the loud tools he works with as well as being able to listen to music, podcast or live sports games.

This Tree Trimmer is quite handy to have around! It can reach 15 feet tall, so you can be on the ground and still reach very high up!

FIrestarters. These suckers are so convenient. We use these outside for campfire or in the winter for out wood fireplace. Great if you are looking for something else to add to a gift for him!

Shoes can be tricky for county fellas we have found out. We found these On Clouds and Ryan actually loves them. They are comfortable and go with lots of outfit pairings we found out!

Retractable Extension Cord. Winner Winner! These retractable cords are amazing for keeping in the garage for no more cords laying all over the floor.

Andar is always on our gift guides. With their quality leather goods, it's a perfect gift to gift someone that will last for many years!

We call this the Zip Zip around here! Another great tool for the guy in your life that is one he maybe doesn't already have!

Bit Holder. Another great gadget to pop in with another gift for Father's Day!

We are big Dewalt fans around here with the quality of products they produces we really like! This speaker is always on the job site with Ryan. The boys use it for taking on the fishing boat as well. Super durable!

Car Charger. Great for someone that is in the car a lot or for long road trips! Multiple features on this one including the extra-long charger cord that retracts right back in when done using!

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there!!

The Oaks final outdoor reveal

I pulled off the biggest surprise I've ever done... I can't believe it!! So a little back story - 17 years ago Ryan sold his prized possession, his 1991 Mazda Miata, to help fund a much needed mini van for our baby on the way. After I got pregnant I quit my job and we went from 2 incomes down to 1 income. We knew that a 2 person convertible just wasn't practical and that the finances could be used in a better way. So we sold it... Fast forward 17 years and it all comes back full circle. I put my 17 year old son Tate on the task of finding us a Miata that looked just like dads, and he blew it out of the water. He found the perfect car on Facebook Marketplace In great condition! He drove almost 3 hours to pick it up with a buddy and pulled off the best surprise ever!!! Also to note Tate has never driven through the Twin Cities or Driven a stick shift on any road besides a gravel one close to the cabin. BUT he was confident and crushed the challenge!! We stored it for the night and gave it to him the next day! I think Ryan's reaction says it all (watch the mini vlog below!) Our "19th" anniversary isn't until November but what fun is a convertible if you can't drive it in the summer, so we gave it to him early and are so happy we did! *make sure to read until the end for a good laugh ;)
