TEEN BOY GIFT GUIDE

We got tate a Portable Hammock. a few years ago and it's amazing how much he likes it.  He'll take it outside and find a spot to put it or he'll bring it inside and rig it up in the basement and use it as a hammock and a swing.  Such a fun thing for boys to have!

This Go Pro. is for sure a splurge, but if you have an outdoors boy who loves tech as well they will geek out over this.  Tate recently got this and has been LOVING making cool videos of him and his buddies while dirt biking, snowboarding, and biking.

I love this Rehydration Bottle. for a boy because it has a clip on the top so you can clip it onto a backpack or bag.  It also has a straw that folds down so it doesn't spill. And the camo is perfect for them!

Tate is constantly hauling around a bluetooth Speaker. whether its to the garage, the mancave, or in his room...he loves to listen to music!  This speaker has great reviews!

If your teen wants airpods than he will be so excited about these Raycon Earbuds.  They are a fraction of the cost but work just as well as airpods!  They even have noise cancellation and fit in the ear so well!

Spikeball. is a game that's fun for the whole family!  Our kids play this all year long.  Outside during the summer and in the garage in the winter.  I love that they play together and get their energy out:)

If your guy doesn't love to read, this Action Bible. is the perfect solution!  They can learn all of their Bible stories in comic format!

Tate probably wouldn't admit it, but he's been stealing my Power Patch. DIME stickers for those pesky zits and they work so well!  Use code ALLISON to save 20%.

Tate doesn't know it yet, but he's getting Binoculars. for christmas!  If you've got a boy who loves the outdoors than binoculars are so much fun to scope out the surroundings!

Columbia Gloves. are a practical gift but are also on great sale and will keep their hands warm all winter long!

Tate has wrapped his bed in these LED Strip Lights. They can sync to music or you can change them to a ton of different colors.  They have a timer on them so they also work great for a night light.

I don't know what boy wouldn't be ecstatic to get a survival kit!  I love to create a sense of independence and leadership in Tate, and when they learn how to create and make things and survive it builds just that!  A favorite for sure!

The Oaks final outdoor reveal
By Allie Lundeen August 14, 2025
I pulled off the biggest surprise I've ever done... I can't believe it!! So a little back story - 17 years ago Ryan sold his prized possession, his 1991 Mazda Miata, to help fund a much needed mini van for our baby on the way. After I got pregnant I quit my job and we went from 2 incomes down to 1 income. We knew that a 2 person convertible just wasn't practical and that the finances could be used in a better way. So we sold it... Fast forward 17 years and it all comes back full circle. I put my 17 year old son Tate on the task of finding us a Miata that looked just like dads, and he blew it out of the water. He found the perfect car on Facebook Marketplace In great condition! He drove almost 3 hours to pick it up with a buddy and pulled off the best surprise ever!!! Also to note Tate has never driven through the Twin Cities or Driven a stick shift on any road besides a gravel one close to the cabin. BUT he was confident and crushed the challenge!! We stored it for the night and gave it to him the next day! I think Ryan's reaction says it all (watch the mini vlog below!) Our "19th" anniversary isn't until November but what fun is a convertible if you can't drive it in the summer, so we gave it to him early and are so happy we did! *make sure to read until the end for a good laugh ;)
