MY FALL TABLESCAPE WITH WALMART

allie • September 20, 2019

This is a sponsored post with Walmart, but all thoughts and opinions are my own!

You guys!  This may have been one of my favorite Walmart posts to date because it involves seasonal décor, and seasonal décor is my jam!  Especially fall!  So I thought I would show you all the awesome fall décor items Walmart Home has to offer at such great prices!  I feel like fall can go one of two ways, either super cheesy and fake, or calming and realistic.  You all know I’m going to be bringing you the calming and realistic view because it can be achieved!  First though

Almost everything in this whole table scape is purchased from Walmart!  So lets start with the basics..

I first laid down this super pretty linen and black stripe table runner.   They also have it in a fun rust color if you want to add a pop!  Then I layered on these fun jute placemats!  I love that they are so versatile and both of these items can be used for any season!

My after the base layer you add on these gorgeous Walmart dishes!

They come in a 4 piece place setting, 4 mugs included as well, for only $45!! I got my 8 piece place setting for $90 which is a steal for gorgeous dishes!  Also, they are pick up only, but if you buy online you can conveniently go to their pickup area and be in and out in five minutes!

And then because I think of gold with fall, this gold flatware was calling my name!  I did a double check when I realized you got a whole 4 PIECE PLACE SETTING for under $20!!!  So for 8 people I only paid $39! That price is insane!

They add such pretty warmth to the table as well.  Alright, now that we have done our basics, let move on to the pretty fall décor! Ps, so far everything could be used year round! Yay for multi-purpose!

The first piece I was so excited to find were these white pumpkins!  I’ve been having a hard time finding white pumpkins this year, and I love the fact that these come in a two pack with two different sizes!  They are also a good size for the price!  You get two for under $12!  They key to a pretty tablescape is adding in varying heights and textures.  The pumpkins worked great for anchoring the table, and then the little fun gold candle holders were fun to bring in some sparkle!  They come in a two pack for under $10!  Add a votive candle and your good to go!

I mixed in a couple of these tall white and gold candlesticks that brought in a modern flare!  Nothing says cozy like a bunch of lit candles at the table!

And the last element I added in were these fun gold and glass square lanterns.

I put in these $3 pillar candles from Walmart as well and it all added the perfect texture to this table!

The last thing you know I needed to add to make this space cozy was………PILLOWS!!  And a throw actually!

I fell in love with this exposed zipper pillow.   I’m quite sure they intend the zipper to go at the bottom, but I always like to keep her on top so she shows off!  The little leather tassel adds just the perfect fall touch, and the quality is amazing!  The pillow is only $20 and is feather filled!

This velvet lumbar pillow with tassels is making me swoon too!  It’s feather filled as well and oh so comfy ! And lastly this fun black and white throw.

I love the pattern of it, especially with the solid pillows!

I hope you enjoyed the tablescape!  I thought I would add all of the links here with the breakdown of what I paid for it, because I always love to be upfront and realistic with you guys!

Total:  $291.53

Now the hopes are you have some things you can fill in and not have to buy all new, but if you had to start from scratch I thought that price for dishes and silverware included was not too bad!  Ps, the price for décor only would be $161.61, pillows and throw included;)

Another Walmart victory:)

The Oaks final outdoor reveal

I pulled off the biggest surprise I've ever done... I can't believe it!! So a little back story - 17 years ago Ryan sold his prized possession, his 1991 Mazda Miata, to help fund a much needed mini van for our baby on the way. After I got pregnant I quit my job and we went from 2 incomes down to 1 income. We knew that a 2 person convertible just wasn't practical and that the finances could be used in a better way. So we sold it... Fast forward 17 years and it all comes back full circle. I put my 17 year old son Tate on the task of finding us a Miata that looked just like dads, and he blew it out of the water. He found the perfect car on Facebook Marketplace In great condition! He drove almost 3 hours to pick it up with a buddy and pulled off the best surprise ever!!! Also to note Tate has never driven through the Twin Cities or Driven a stick shift on any road besides a gravel one close to the cabin. BUT he was confident and crushed the challenge!! We stored it for the night and gave it to him the next day! I think Ryan's reaction says it all (watch the mini vlog below!) Our "19th" anniversary isn't until November but what fun is a convertible if you can't drive it in the summer, so we gave it to him early and are so happy we did! *make sure to read until the end for a good laugh ;)
