Dear Jesus

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for this beautiful gift of life you have put inside of me.  She is precious and perfect in every way.  Maybe not the way the world would see her, or the medical professionals, but knit together perfectly the way you designed her.  Designing her for a special purpose to serve on this earth, glorifying your holy name.  I pray Lord that in the weeks to come you would use her in a mighty way, as well as our family. I pray that through this gift you have given us we may touch people that come in our path.  I pray for the nurses and doctors that will deliver us and witness this little package.  I pray that they see your mighty hand in all of it.  And I pray that we may give thanks through it all for the short or long moments that we get to spend with Jules.  Give us the strength to enjoy the time we have and to glorify your name.  Above all Lord I pray that you continue to hold Jules in your mighty hands and allow her to feel all the love we have for her in the short time we may get with her.  We give Jules and this situation to you daily.  Thank you for your faithfulness and love.

Psalm 89:1
1 I will sing of the LORD’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.

Psalm 91:4
4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

The Oaks final outdoor reveal
By Allie Lundeen August 14, 2025
I pulled off the biggest surprise I've ever done... I can't believe it!! So a little back story - 17 years ago Ryan sold his prized possession, his 1991 Mazda Miata, to help fund a much needed mini van for our baby on the way. After I got pregnant I quit my job and we went from 2 incomes down to 1 income. We knew that a 2 person convertible just wasn't practical and that the finances could be used in a better way. So we sold it... Fast forward 17 years and it all comes back full circle. I put my 17 year old son Tate on the task of finding us a Miata that looked just like dads, and he blew it out of the water. He found the perfect car on Facebook Marketplace In great condition! He drove almost 3 hours to pick it up with a buddy and pulled off the best surprise ever!!! Also to note Tate has never driven through the Twin Cities or Driven a stick shift on any road besides a gravel one close to the cabin. BUT he was confident and crushed the challenge!! We stored it for the night and gave it to him the next day! I think Ryan's reaction says it all (watch the mini vlog below!) Our "19th" anniversary isn't until November but what fun is a convertible if you can't drive it in the summer, so we gave it to him early and are so happy we did! *make sure to read until the end for a good laugh ;)
