7 YEARS OF LIFE TOGETHER

allie • November 18, 2013

Some days I can’t believe it. I can’t believe I’ve gotten to spend 7 years with you.

From the day you proposed to me…

to the day I got to say “I do”

to spending all 7 rainy days in Jamaica together on our honeymoon…

To welcoming our first child into the world..

Some days I can’t believe it. I can’t believe I’ve gotten to spend 7 years with you.

and our second, 15 months later (eek!)

to becoming a family of 4..

To living in a pop up trailer with you (sorry no pics, I tried to block this out of my memory)

To getting to create our home together…

To welcoming our 3rd baby into our family…

and becoming a family of 5…

and having to say good bye…

You have been my rock.

My place to fall.

To cry.

To laugh.

You make me smile like no one else can...

You make me feel beautiful…ALWAYS.

You are the constant in my life.

I know you think I don’t tell you enough, but here are 7 amazing reasons why I love you!

1.) God chose you for me:)

2.) You are an AMAZING daddy!

3.) You are as handsome as ever;)

4.) Your heart is so big and tender….you truly are a softy.

5.) You are so willing to work on this marriage with me and so desire to be the hubby and daddy God wants you to be.

6.) You make me feel beautiful no matter what I look like…you are so affirming.

and…

7.) You put up with all of my decorating shenanigans and have grace with me…and know me better than anyone;)

I am honored to do this life with you, and can’t imagine it without you!

I love you babe!! Happy Anniversary!

The Oaks final outdoor reveal

I pulled off the biggest surprise I've ever done... I can't believe it!! So a little back story - 17 years ago Ryan sold his prized possession, his 1991 Mazda Miata, to help fund a much needed mini van for our baby on the way. After I got pregnant I quit my job and we went from 2 incomes down to 1 income. We knew that a 2 person convertible just wasn't practical and that the finances could be used in a better way. So we sold it... Fast forward 17 years and it all comes back full circle. I put my 17 year old son Tate on the task of finding us a Miata that looked just like dads, and he blew it out of the water. He found the perfect car on Facebook Marketplace In great condition! He drove almost 3 hours to pick it up with a buddy and pulled off the best surprise ever!!! Also to note Tate has never driven through the Twin Cities or Driven a stick shift on any road besides a gravel one close to the cabin. BUT he was confident and crushed the challenge!! We stored it for the night and gave it to him the next day! I think Ryan's reaction says it all (watch the mini vlog below!) Our "19th" anniversary isn't until November but what fun is a convertible if you can't drive it in the summer, so we gave it to him early and are so happy we did! *make sure to read until the end for a good laugh ;)
